My ALMOST two-year old's interest in books is on fire! His favorite books right now are board books, specifically HUG and GOODNIGHT GORILLA. It is also fun for me because I can make the story as short or as long as possible. The books are filled with vividly colored pictures that I use to make up the story as we turn the pages. In addition, we can also have a brief dialogue because he will repeat the words to me as I say the words that he recognizes.
Not only is he interested in reading books but he's also interested in RIPPING books. He likes to rip any type of paper that he can get his hands on. That is why I am, from now on, ONLY leaving board books in his bed :)
